When retailers create an account, we collect:

• Full Name
• Shop Name
• Mobile Number
• Email Address
• City / Location
• Login Credentials

1.2 Customer Device Information

When a retailer registers a device, the following may be collected:

• Customer Name
• Customer Phone Number
• IMEI / Device ID
• Device Model
• Loan / EMI Details
• Payment Dates

1.3 App Permissions & Device Data

To function properly, InstenLock may request access to:

• Device Admin access
• Accessibility Service
• Location (for lost/stolen device tracking)
• Phone State (SIM number detection)
• Internet Access
• Storage permissions

These permissions are used only for EMI lock-related features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

• Lock / Unlock customer devices
• Display EMI reminders
• Track device location (if enabled by retailer)
• Prevent fraud or non-payment
• Provide customer support
• Maintain security of your dashboard
• Improve app performance

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third-party marketing company.

3. Data Storage & Security

• All data is encrypted using industry-standard methods.
• Sensitive information (IMEI, phone numbers) is stored securely.
• Only authorized retailers can access their registered devices.
• We take all reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure. Use the app responsibly.

4. Device Locking & Permissions

InstenLock uses:

• Device Admin APIs
• Accessibility Services
• Overlay & Notification Access

These permissions are essential for enabling:

• EMI Lock
• EMI Screen Reminder
• App Locking
• Password Reset
• Disable Features (Camera, USB, Calls)

We do NOT use these permissions for any harmful activities like:

• Data stealing
• Spyware
• Unwanted tracking

The retailer must follow legal rules while locking devices.

5. Sharing Your Data

We may share data only in the following cases:

• With law enforcement if legally required.
• With service providers (server, hosting, SMS API).
• Within our company (InstenTech teams).

We never share data for advertising or external sales.

6. Your Choices & Rights

Retailers can:

• Update profile information
• Remove customers
• Deactivate users
• Request account deletion

Customers can contact their retailer or us if they feel their device was incorrectly locked.

7. Data Retention

• Device & EMI records: Retained as long as the retailer account is active.
• Logs: Retained for security and fraud detection.
• Deleted accounts: Fully removed within 30–60 days.

8. Children's Privacy

• InstenLock is not for minors.
• We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old.

9. Third-Party Services

The app may use:

• Google Play Services
• Firebase
• Payment Gateways (if applicable)

These services have their own privacy policies.
